The Warlocks – Skull Worship

The Warlocks new album Skull Worship comes out this week all around the world. Uncut gave us 7/10, Q gave us 3 stars & Mojo 6/10. The Warlocks construct a dense, more elaborate web of sound, layers of distortion and the occasional synth a la Silver Apples and Red Crayola. Silver & Plastic expands the bands oeuvre into acoustic territory recalling T Rex. Other songs like Endless Drop turn to Hawkwind, Neu! and experimental rock for inspiration.
